Grade 7, £44,746 - £56,535 per annum pro rata

Fixed Term until end of March 2027

35 hours per week

 

Applications are invited for a Lecturer in Undergraduate Fashion Design in the Department of Fashion and Textiles to provide a challenging and supportive learning experience for students on the BA(Hons) Fashion Design programme. Delivering world-class teaching, whilst contributing to the academic development of the programme within the overall context of the School of Design, and the vision of the Glasgow School of Art.

 

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have experience teaching Fashion Design at undergraduate level within Higher Education, guiding students from initial concept development through to full 3D realisation. They will have a strong track record in curriculum design, delivery, assessment and ongoing development, with a clear understanding of quality assurance and enhancement processes. The role requires an excellent awareness of current debates, trends and issues within the discipline, alongside active engagement as a practitioner and/or researcher with the ability to contribute to the School’s research themes. A Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching (or equivalent) is essential, or a willingness to undertake an appropriate teaching qualification.
