Applications are invited for a Development Officer – Trusts and Foundations in the Development Department at The Glasgow School of Art.

The Glasgow School of Art is a world-leading Higher Education Institution in the visual creative disciplines, and a thriving community of students, staff and alumni.

The Development Team at the Glasgow School of Art is successful, focussed, and ambitious. Over the last decade it has built philanthropic support and corporate partnerships significantly to support the capital and revenue priorities of the School. With the adoption of an ambitious new Development Strategy in 2023, this is an ideal time to join the team and build on that previous success.

The role of the Development Officer (Trusts & Foundations) is to identify philanthropic opportunities, prioritised in alignment with the GSA Strategic Plan and Development Strategy, and make successful applications for support to charitable trusts and foundations in the UK and overseas. The postholder will be responsible not only for creating proposals that generate significant income but also, importantly, maintaining positive relationships with supporters and prospective supporters through appropriate communication, reporting and stewardship.

As a key member of the Development team, the postholder will work closely with academic and professional support colleagues across the institution to identify, prioritise and deliver fundraising support for projects and opportunities.
