The Technical Support Department at GSA requires an enthusiastic and flexible Technician who will enjoy the challenge of working in a creative and dynamic educational environment.   

Based at GSA’s Creative Campus on the Altyre Estate in Forres, you will be responsible for supporting researchers and students working in Design Innovation.    You will supervise  and advise workshop users in the pursuit of innovative solutions to creative ideas, including the demonstration  of the use of machinery, equipment, materials and processes in line with Health and Safety practices and regulations in a busy workshop environment.   

The post holder will be the main point of contact for all making activities and will supervise a workshop that covers wood working, laser cutting and digital prototyping equipment.  The role will involve an appropriate balance of workshop supervision, technical demonstrations, machining duties and inductions.
