The School’s academic library is looking for an experienced Library Desk Assistant to assist in the provision of a full and effective Library service desk to the students, staff and visitor of the Glasgow School of Art Learning resources department. To provide the delivery, promotion and development of a high quality Service which supports the learning, teaching and Research strategies of the School.   To provide a first point of contact for services users in an efficient and friendly manner, providing immediate responses to enquires or referring onwards as appropriate  

The post will cover evening opening and weekend opening during the academic term.   You will be educated to Higher/HNC level (or equivalent) and/or have library experience, excellent communication and customer skills preferably gained in an FE/HE environment.  Good IT skills to support users of Library computer centre.
