This role will support the School’s research in the thematic area of health and wellbeing as part of a funded project exploring community integration in care homes. The role involves contributing to the planning and delivery of research within this theme and the appointee will be actively involved in undertaking fieldwork using design innovation methodology and subsequent analysis.
The project will involve close collaboration with a local care home in Moray and the appointee will be required to travel to and work in the care home environment (subject to successful disclosure). This will involve engaging with staff and residents as well as families and members of the community. The appointee will also play an active role in the future health and wellbeing research group at the GSA Highlands an Islands campus.
The appointee will support project reporting required by the funder and the creation of outputs bespoke to relevant audiences.
Applicants would normally be expected to hold a first degree in a design related discipline. Successful applicants would also be expected to travel occasionally to The GSA in Glasgow.
