The Technical Support Department at GSA requires an enthusiastic and flexible Technician who will enjoy the challenge of working in a creative and dynamic educational environment.  

You will be assigned to the 3D Making team in the Reid Building workshop and should have significant experience of working with wood and other materials in relation to our core users of sculpture, product design, product design engineering and architecture. The role will involve an appropriate balance of workshop supervision, technical demonstrations, machining duties and inductions.  

You will supervise and advise students and staff in the pursuit of innovative solutions to creative ideas, including the demonstration of the use of machinery, equipment, materials and processes in line with Health and Safety practices and regulations in a busy workshop environment.
