Lecturer - 3D Modelling (0.6 FTE)

Applications are invited for a Lecturer – 3D Modelling (0.6 FTE – 21 hours per week) (6-month fixed term contract) within  in the School of Innovation and Technology to be based at our Glasgow campus.

 

GSA’s School of Innovation and Technology (SIT) emerged from the combination of our internationally renowned Innovation School and The School of Simulation and Visualisation. The SIT will be a global leader in post-disciplinary, design-led innovation and the exploration of emergent technologies as they relate to contemporary society and our future challenges. The SIT is committed to exploring the relationship between humanity, technology and ecology expressed through creative practice and intellectual collaboration across disciplinary boundaries.

 

Reporting to the Head of Academic Programmes, the Lecturer – 3D Modelling will focus on teaching, and involve providing support and input to course and curriculum co-ordination and development and administration. The focus of the teaching and related activity is in the area of 3D Modelling and Digital Sculpting for Real-Time applications (Game Development and Visualisation), with teaching across both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

 

The post holder will hold a professional qualification including a relevant Masters degree in 3D Modelling, Animation, Game Development or closely related discipline (or have equivalent experience). To be successful in the role, you will have a passion for learning and creativity as well as evidence of excellence in 3D modelling/digital sculpting. The ideal post holder will also have experience teaching 3D Modelling/Digital Sculpting in a Higher Education context.
